Project overview
For Maxim van Someren, I built a personal website that brings his different kinds of work together in one clear online presentation. From presenting and creative projects to game-related concepts, the site needed to show what he can be booked for without forcing visitors to piece that together from scattered examples or separate channels.
The website gives him one central place for showreels, case studies, blogs, and a direct contact route. That makes it useful not only as a portfolio, but as a credibility and conversion tool for event organisers, clients, and other business contacts.
Collaboration
Maxim provided videos, early text concepts, and a visual direction. Based on that, I developed the structure, design, and content flow. Through short feedback rounds, we refined the site so it matched how potential clients would actually evaluate his profile and decide whether to get in touch.
The business challenge behind the project
For someone with a broad profile, visibility is not automatic. Without a website, there is no central place where work, positioning, and personality come together. That makes it harder for potential clients to understand what someone does and whether they are the right fit for an event or project.
The site needed to solve that by bringing the most important elements together in one place: examples of work, context, personal positioning, and a clear path to contact.
What I delivered
- A personal website that brings multiple disciplines together under one clear structure.
- A stronger online foundation for building credibility with event organisers, media contacts, and other clients.
- A direct contact path through a form for booking and collaboration enquiries.
- A content structure that makes it easier to add new blogs, case studies, and showreels over time.
Technical implementation
- WinterCMS with a custom theme for flexible content management.
- Tailwind CSS, PHP, and JavaScript for a fast and structured frontend.
- Content blocks for video, text, and case content so new material can be added easily.
- A contact form as the main conversion step on the website.
- Image optimisation and lightweight frontend decisions for strong loading performance.
Challenges
- Presenting a broad profile clearly without making the site feel busy or fragmented.
- Helping different types of clients understand quickly what Maxim can be booked for.
- Leaving room for growing content without losing clarity.
Result
- Maxim now has one central place to present his work and expertise professionally.
- The website makes it easier for clients to quickly understand his profile and booking relevance.
- The contact form provides a direct route for booking and collaboration enquiries.
- New case studies, blogs, and showreels are easier to manage and publish.
- The site stays fast and user-friendly despite the variety of content formats.
