Project overview

Pre Lovies focuses on rare Louis Vuitton handbags and other premium designer brands. The webshop needed to feel less like a standard fashion store and more like an online boutique where trust, presentation, and product experience are immediately visible.

Because the store deals with luxury positioning and rare stock, the buying threshold is naturally higher than in a typical webshop. That is why the project focused on calm premium presentation, clear product selection, and an easy path for customers looking for a specific item that is not currently in stock.

Collaboration

The owner provided the core content and photography. From there, I translated that into a premium UI concept, implemented the WooCommerce custom work, and made sure the store was not only visually strong but also practical in day-to-day use.

Technical implementation

  • Custom child theme on a minimal base theme; custom CSS for a high-end look and feel.
  • Product taxonomies (brand, condition, color) + AJAX filters for quick selection.
  • Mollie checkout with automatic selection for insured shipping above a value threshold.
  • Label printer integration - WooCommerce PDF Packing Slips + custom hook that generates a ZPL file for the Zebra printer; one click = label print.
  • Custom search request flow for customers looking for a specific item to be sourced.
  • Lazy-load and WebP conversion for fast rendering of high-quality product imagery.
  • Cloudflare CDN and script optimizations to keep the store fast and user-friendly.

Challenges

  • Creating a luxury feel without making the webshop heavy or slow.
  • Building enough trust for high-ticket purchases, where presentation and fulfilment matter more than usual.
  • Finding the right balance between WooCommerce functionality, performance, and a smooth fulfilment workflow.

Result

The result is a webshop that presents premium products more convincingly and makes the buying process feel more reliable for visitors. That supports two key goals: selling inventory faster and building enough trust for more expensive purchases.

Behind the scenes, the workflow also became more efficient. From insured checkout to direct label handling, the store supports not only front-end conversion but also faster and less cumbersome fulfilment.

Reflection

This project showed clearly how important trust and presentation are in e-commerce for exclusive products. With rare and higher-value items, conversion depends not only on functionality, but on brand feel, clarity, and a smooth process for both the customer and the store owner.
